Six Days Combined Kenya & Tanzania Safari

Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Arguably the most famous National Reserve in Kenya is the Maasai Mara. Home to Mara warriors and crucial point on the great annual Wildebeest migration, Maasai Mara is an unmissable stop on any journey in Kenya. An abundance of wildlife is on offer at Maasai Mara Game Reserve ranging from the smallest of insects and reptiles, to the largest mammal walking the earth. Have your camera ready at all times on these three days trip as there are surprises lurking behind every tree and under every rock. you will spend two nights in the famous reserve, allowing you plenty of time to start ticking off the “Big Five” (Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and Rhinoceros) or even the “Big Nine” (Cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe and Hippo). If wildlife is what you came to Kenya for, look no further.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti This is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, the name ‘Serengeti’ comes from the Maasai language and appropriately means an ‘endless plains’. The National Park is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara Game reserve (in Kenya). It lies between the shores of Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the south, and the Great Rift Valley to the east. As such, it offers the most complex and least disturbed ecosystem on earth.

Ngorongoro Crater

“The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World’. A massive extinct volcano, the sheet walls drop thousands of feet to a “Noah’s Ark” of animals on the verdant floor below. Large herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. It is quite unique as its physical protection from man natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wildernesses on earth. It is regarded as a natural wonder of the world and has been declared a World Heritage Site. It is the largest intact crater in the world, being 610 meters deep, 16 kilometers across and covering an area of 540 square kilometers. On the crater floor, grassland blends into swamps, lakes, rivers, woodland and mountains – all a haven for wildlife, including the greatest predator population in Africa. The volcanic crater is jampacked with wildlife, including all the big game. Its pride and joy, however, is that it remains the last great wild refuge for black rhino.
