Nine Day Touring Uganda & Its Nature Gifts

This trip will bring you in touch with the gifts of nature which Uganda has been blessed with, from the people and culture to the wildlife of Uganda. Experience the trekking through waterfalls, tracking chimpanzees, crater lakes and hot springs, cultural performances and the equator snow zone. End the trip by taking part in the one of its kind, Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest. Whatever you are into, there is something here for you.

  • Departure Time: 07:30hrs
  • Duration: 9 days / 8 night (approx.)
  • Return details: Tour concludes with drop off at your flight or hotel. Please note safaris return between 2:00pm and 5:00pm, therefore we recommend if you are departing Nairobi the same day you do not book a flight any earlier than 8:00pm.

DAY 1: Kampala

You are met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel for overnight sta. Full board accommodation at Lake Victoria Serena Resort & Spa or similar

Day 2 – Re-discovering Journey

Morning drive to Murchison falls national park through Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. After lunch at Masindi Town Hotel, drive to Paraaa through Budongo Forest where you are welcomed by Baboons along the road, forest Birds and animals. Take a ferry crossing to Paraa Safari Lodge for your overnight stay

Day 3 – Wildlife and waterfalls

After breakfast, have a game drive, animals and birds including the rare Shoebill. Lunch at the lodge, afternoon boat trip to the bottom of the falls and hike to the top of the fall for a view of the Murchison falls, birds, hippos, crocodiles, and falls viewing from the bottom and top. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge

Day 4 – Mountains of the moon viewing

After breakfast drive to Fort portal town via the foot hills of the Rwenzori Mountains, farmlands, tea estates and community set ups arriving in evening in Fort portal town. You’ll be greeted by a wonderful view of the “Mountains of the moon”, Rwenzori Mountain. Full board accommodation at your lodge

Day 5 – Hot Spring and Batwa Pygmy community

After breakfast drive to Semuliki national park, trek the Hot springs and see a selection of birds and forest animals, visit the Bwatwa community where you interact with pigmy people. You drive via Nyakasura to view the waterfalls and the caves (swimming is optional – the water is very cold and hard). Later drive to Lake Nkuruba to view the Rwenzori Mountain and the craters at the ‘top of the world craters’. Swimming in Lake Nkuruba is optional after drive to Queen Elizabeth. Full board accommodation at y our lodge

Day 6 – Wildlife and Craters

Early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth’s Nat Park, later drive through the craters to Katwe salt mining and community tour and back to the lodge for Lunch, afternoon experience a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel where you will view animals, crocodiles and bird watching. Full board accommodation at your lodge

Day 7 – Climbing Lions and Gorillas

Drive to Bwindi Forest after breakfast, this is the home of the mountain Gorilla and Birds. The drive will take you through Ishasha sector for a game drive in the home of the climbing Lions. We arrive in the afternoon. A community and cultural tour in the area is advisable. Full board accommodation at your lodge

Day 8 – Gorilla Life in Bwindi

After breakfast you will have briefing and allocation of the Guide and ranger for Gorilla tracking activities. Primates and bird watching awaits you as we trek through the forest. Gorilla tracking is one of the most re-warding activities you’ll do on this trip. Full board accommodation at your lodge

Day 9 – Scenic views and Kampala

After breakfast drive back to Kampala via the farmlands of the Ankole long horned cows, and different cultures and people having Lunch at Igongwa cultural centre. We’ll stop for a photo opportunity at the Equator. We’ll arrive in the evening and say goodbye! END OF SERVISE
